Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 July 2026

Deudin is a free app for tracking and splitting shared expenses in a group. These terms cover how you may use it. We've kept them short and in plain language.

Who we are

Deudin is a small, independent project available at deudin.app. Throughout these terms, "Deudin", "we" and "us" refer to the project and the people behind it; "you" refers to anyone using the app.

Using Deudin

Deudin is currently free to use and offered as an ongoing beta. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

You need to be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country (at least 13, and older where local law requires it) to create an account.

Your account

  • You sign up with an email address and a display name. You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method (including any passkey) safe.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of what you record in your groups.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Deudin to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • upload other people's personal data without a proper basis, or content you have no right to share;
  • attempt to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or disrupt other people's use of it;
  • resell or repackage the service as your own.

Your content and data

The groups, expenses, payments and notes you create stay yours. You grant us only the permission we need to store, sync and display that content back to you and the members of your groups so the app can work.

Group owners can export a group's full history to a CSV at any time, so you always have a copy of your data. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and beta status

Deudin is under active development. Features can change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or discontinue features, and — with reasonable notice where practical — the service itself.

No warranty

Deudin is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. While the money math is designed to be exact, you're responsible for checking that balances and settlements are correct before anyone relies on them. Deudin does not move money — it only records who owes whom.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any financial disputes between members of a group. Deudin is a record-keeping tool, not a party to your arrangements.

Ending your use

You can stop using Deudin whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we make a meaningful change we'll update the date above; continuing to use Deudin after a change means you accept the new terms.
