Find it, filter it, read it

More of your feedback, shipped: search and filter your transactions, see who's in a group, and a few numbers that are easier to read.

New
  • Search your transactions by text and filter them by category, right from the transactions list.
  • Everyone in a group can now see the full member list in Settings — not just the owner. (Only owners can invite or remove people.)
Improved
  • Amounts now follow your device's language for the decimal and thousands marks as you type — so if your keyboard's decimal key is a comma, typing 9,89 just works.
Fixed
  • Changing a transaction's date now sticks after you save — it no longer snapped back to the original date.
  • The daily spend chart no longer overlaps its labels: amounts now show as short, readable figures like 1.2k, 100k or 1.2M.

A calmer update

When a new version of Deudin is published, the page no longer reloads out from under you. You get a brief animated screen while the update is applied.

  • Updates no longer interrupt you mid-tap: when a new version is ready, a short animated screen appears while it's applied, then the app reopens on the latest version.

A polished public face — now in two languages

The marketing site reads as one piece now: a consistent header everywhere, a clearer language switcher, a fully bilingual changelog, and proper Terms and Privacy pages.

New
  • Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages, in English and Spanish, linked from the footer of every public page.
  • This changelog now speaks both English and Spanish — read it at /changelog or /es/changelog, each with its own Atom feed.
Improved
  • The landing page now uses the same header as the blog and the rest of the site, so the navigation feels consistent wherever you are.
  • The language switcher marks the language you're reading with a clear check, so it's obvious which one is active.
  • A Light / Dark / System theme switcher now lives in the header of the landing and every public page, not just your profile.

Your data, in and out

Owners can now export a group's whole history to a CSV and import it back — a real backup you control, and a clean way to move a group between accounts.

New
  • Export transactions: owners can download every expense and payment in a group as a CSV, named after the group, its transaction count, and the date and time. Nothing is lost — every payer and every share is written out exactly.
  • Import from CSV: bring that same file back into any group, matching the people in it to members here — the same guided flow as the Splitwise import. It restores the ledger to the cent.

A round of changes straight from your feedback: a light theme, clearer balances, and a few rough edges smoothed over.

New
  • A light theme that follows your phone's system setting automatically — plus a Light / Dark / System switch in your profile if you'd rather pick.
  • A “Today” shortcut on the date picker, to jump back to today in one tap after browsing other dates.
  • When you split an expense by exact amounts or percentages, you now see how much is still left to distribute as you type.
Improved
  • Balances read at a glance now: what you owe shows in red, what you're owed in green.
  • The who-owes-whom list leads with the biggest debt, so it's clear who could cover the next expense to keep things even.
  • The daily spend chart shows the actual amounts, not just bars — readable on your phone, no hovering required.

  • Your notification settings no longer flicker and reload every time you reopen Settings.

  • The landing now shows the free Stats features and answers more questions, and every public page is served as real HTML so search engines and AI assistants can read it.

A focused pass on the rough edges you flagged: cleaner drawers, correct balances, and settings that only show what you can actually change.

  • The Activity tab is now reserved for group owners, so the feed stays useful for the people who manage the group.
  • Consistent wording across settle-up: it's "Settle" everywhere now, and the payment button says "Record" instead of "Save".
  • Adding a member you removed no longer leaves a ghost of them hanging around in pickers.

  • Balances and currency labels now stay correct after you edit or delete an entry.
  • The currency dropdown on payments is properly aligned and actually selectable.
  • The "Paid by" menu behaves even when you haven't typed an amount yet.

Every group is different — some are strictly one currency, others juggle three on a single trip. Now the owner decides which ones show up.

  • Owners can curate the exact set of currencies a group offers, so the picker is a short, relevant list instead of the full ISO catalog.
  • New groups start with USD and let the owner add more from settings; a currency already in use always stays selectable.

A round of refinements to the flows you touch every day — transactions, balances, stats, and sharing an invite.

  • Share a group invite straight from your phone's native share sheet — Messages, WhatsApp, wherever your group already talks.

  • Owner-only settings are now hidden from members who can't use them, so the settings screen isn't cluttered with things you can't touch.

Deudin grew up this week: it got its name, a way to pull in the whole group, and a nudge when something changes.

  • We're now Deudin (deudin.app) — new name, new home, same app you were already using.
  • Add people as placeholder members and hand out a single-use invite link; whoever opens it claims that member and its balances.
  • Opt in to push notifications per group and get a ping when someone adds an expense or records a payment — your own actions never notify you.
  • Report a bug or send feedback in seconds, right from the avatar menu.
  • New landing pages in English and Spanish for anyone discovering Deudin.
