Deudin, discoverable

A whole public face so people can actually find Deudin: honest comparisons, practical guides, a free split calculator — and this changelog you're reading.

New
  • This changelog, plus an Atom feed at /changelog.xml so you can subscribe to releases.
  • Honest comparison pages against Splitwise, Tricount, Settle Up and Splid — including a step-by-step guide for migrating your Splitwise groups.
  • A public who-owes-whom calculator: paste who paid what, get the fewest transfers that settle everyone. Free, no signup.
  • Guides on splitting trip expenses, uneven rent, and multi-currency trips — in English and Spanish.
Improved
  • The landing now shows the free Stats features and answers more questions, and every public page is served as real HTML so search engines and AI assistants can read it.

Ready for the beta crew

A focused pass on the rough edges you flagged: cleaner drawers, correct balances, and settings that only show what you can actually change.

Improved
  • The Activity tab is now reserved for group owners, so the feed stays useful for the people who manage the group.
  • Consistent wording across settle-up: it's "Settle" everywhere now, and the payment button says "Record" instead of "Save".
  • Adding a member you removed no longer leaves a ghost of them hanging around in pickers.
Fixed
  • Balances and currency labels now stay correct after you edit or delete an entry.
  • The currency dropdown on payments is properly aligned and actually selectable.
  • The "Paid by" menu behaves even when you haven't typed an amount yet.
  • Squashed a batch of beta-blocking bugs across drawers, balances, and labels.

Currencies, your way

Every group is different — some are strictly one currency, others juggle three on a single trip. Now the owner decides which ones show up.

New
  • Owners can curate the exact set of currencies a group offers, so the picker is a short, relevant list instead of the full ISO catalog.
  • New groups start with USD and let the owner add more from settings; a currency already in use always stays selectable.

Polish pass

A round of refinements to the flows you touch every day — transactions, balances, stats, and sharing an invite.

New
  • Share a group invite straight from your phone's native share sheet — Messages, WhatsApp, wherever your group already talks.
Improved
  • Refreshed the transactions list, balances, stats, and the expense modal for a calmer, faster feel.
  • Owner-only settings are now hidden from members who can't use them, so the settings screen isn't cluttered with things you can't touch.

Invites, notifications & a new name

Deudin grew up this week: it got its name, a way to pull in the whole group, and a nudge when something changes.

New
  • We're now Deudin (deudin.app) — new name, new home, same app you were already using.
  • Add people as placeholder members and hand out a single-use invite link; whoever opens it claims that member and its balances.
  • Opt in to push notifications per group and get a ping when someone adds an expense or records a payment — your own actions never notify you.
  • Report a bug or send feedback in seconds, right from the avatar menu.
  • New landing pages in English and Spanish for anyone discovering Deudin.

See the story, crunch the numbers, bring your history

The pieces that turn a ledger into an app you keep coming back to: a full activity feed, a stats view, live sync, and a door out of Splitwise.

New
  • A per-group activity feed showing every expense, payment, edit and membership change — with inline restore for anything deleted by mistake.
  • A Stats tab that turns your ledger into readable totals and trends.
  • Coming from Splitwise? Import a group's CSV export and land with your balances reproduced exactly.
  • Real-time sync so everyone in the group sees the same numbers, live, across devices.
  • Install Deudin as an app — it works offline and launches from your home screen.

Accounts, groups & your first split

The core loop lands: sign in, spin up a group, log who paid what, and settle up when it's time.

New
  • Create an account and sign in securely.
  • Spin up a group and invite the people you share costs with.
  • Log an expense with multiple payers and flexible splits — equal, exact, percentage, or adjustments.
  • Settle up by recording member-to-member payments, tracked per currency.

First light

The very first Deudin build — the money engine and the foundations everything else is built on. Small, but the math is already rock-solid.

New
  • A precise money engine that never loses a cent to rounding, with balances tracked independently per currency (no surprise conversions).
  • The ledger and membership model at the heart of every group.
  • The walking skeleton of the app, wired end to end and installable from day one.
